Practice in Honor of BKS Iyengar

On Tuesday, August 26, 2014, the yoga community across the US will be honoring the memory of BKS Iyengar by practicing the above sequence of asanas.  This might be an interesting time to weave this into your home practice.  Or come to my class at Devotion Yoga Tuesday morning (930-1045am) where I will guide you through this series of poses and some other grounding and heartening postures.

Tadasana (mountain pose) - 3 minutes

Uttanasana (standing forward fold)

Adho Mukha Svanasana  (downward facing dog)

Utthita Trikonasana to the right and to the left  (triangle pose)

Adho Mukha Svanasana  (downward facing dog)

Uttanasana  (standing forward fold)

Tadasana  (mountain pose)  - 3 minutes
